Terms of Service

The rules of the road for using RouteStamp.

Last updated: August 7, 2026

The Basics

RouteStamp turns your travel photos into real postcards we print and mail to your friends and family. Here's what you need to know:

  • You upload photos and write messages. We print and mail postcards.

  • You pay for postcards. Pricing is shown before you checkout.

  • You own your content. We just need permission to print it on postcards.

Using RouteStamp

To use RouteStamp, you agree to:

  • Be 13 or older: RouteStamp is for users 13 years and older. Sorry, kiddos.

  • Provide accurate info: Especially recipient addresses. We can't deliver postcards to made-up places.

  • Keep your account secure: Use a valid email and don't share your magic links.

Your Content

You own everything you upload. When you submit a photo or message, you give us permission to:

  • Print it on postcards and mail them to your recipients

  • Store it securely until you delete it

  • Generate route maps based on your location data

  • Show it on a public journey page for that card, but only if you turn the journey page on

By uploading, you confirm the content is yours to share and doesn't contain anything illegal, explicit, or harmful. We won't use your content for marketing or sell it to third parties. Your sunset selfie is safe with us.

Journey Pages

Each card can optionally include a QR code that opens a public journey page showing that card's photo, message, route, and stats. If you turn one on:

  • Anyone with the link can view it: That's the point, but it means you're choosing to make that card's content public. Only enable it for content you're comfortable sharing.

  • You can turn it off anytime: Even after the card is mailed. The page stops working immediately.

  • Content rules still apply: We can take down journey pages that violate these terms, and we may retire pages that belong to deleted accounts.

  • No forever guarantee: We intend to keep journey pages up, but we can't promise a page will exist forever. The printed postcard is the keepsake; the page is a bonus.

Don't Be a Jerk

We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel accounts for content that is:

  • Illegal: No illegal content, threats, harassment, or fraud

  • Harmful: No hate speech, discrimination, or content designed to harm others

  • Not yours: Don't upload content you don't have rights to

  • Inappropriate for mail: The postal service has rules. So do we.

Payments

Here's how money works on RouteStamp:

  • Pay when you order: You're charged when you confirm your order, not when you create a draft

  • Secure payments: All payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your full card number.

  • Prices shown include postage: What you see is what you pay. No hidden fees.

Refunds

Since postcards are printed and mailed within hours, refunds are limited:

  • Before printing: Full refund if we haven't started printing yet (usually a few hours)

  • Our mistake: Full refund or reprint if we mess up (wrong image, printing defect, etc.)

  • Postal issues: We'll work with you on a case-by-case basis for lost or damaged mail

  • Wrong address: No refund if you provided an incorrect address

Contact support@routestamp.com for any refund requests.

Delivery

What to expect:

  • US addresses: Typically 5-10 business days via USPS First-Class Mail

  • International: 2-4 weeks depending on destination

  • No guarantees: Postal services are outside our control. We can't guarantee specific delivery dates.

Liability

The legal stuff (we have to say this):

  • RouteStamp is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind

  • We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific postcard order in question

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know via email or through the app. Continued use of RouteStamp after changes means you accept the new terms.
